Day One

Well, this is my first time blogging ever, so I hope you'll bear with me as I seek to fulfill my purpose as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the Restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.  That's a big mouthful--in essence, I am here to answer questions about the gospel, teach people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and help people enter into the covenant of baptism for a remission of their sins and to enter the path that leads back to Heavenly Father.  I may not be the most eloquent blogger; I may not have every single answer right away; I may not be the funniest or the smartest or anything like that; however, I know that I have been called of God to share the truth of the Restored Gospel with everyone!  I know that the message I share is the truth, and I know that you can know too through sincere study of the Book of Mormon coupled with heartfelt, earnest prayer, as promised in Moroni 10:3-5 in the Book of Mormon.  I hope you'll check out my facebook page (Elder Chris Spendlove) and chat with my other missionary friends and any Mormons you know!  This gospel will bless your life if you'll let it.  Allow the truth to change your life and draw you closer to our Savior Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven. 

As far as my other posts go, I'll be answering frequently asked questions, sharing spiritual insights and ideas, and teaching basic principles of the gospel.  Please feel free to comment, but remember that other viewers will be reading these so please keep your comments appropiate (family friendly).  I look forward to embarking on this undertaking and hope that many of you will come to the same happiness and light that has blessed me, my family, and countless others with whom I have had the opportunity to share it.
